It is my responsibility to ensure that all daily reports are accurate and sent to the Project team, highlighting any gains or risks and arranging meetings to discuss risk management.

During the project Swinton employed a Test Analyst to execute the Test Scripts which I had created; this allowed me to role out an Automated Regression Test pack using QA Wizard. I began life in testing as an employee of nFocus LTD in April 2002, my first project role being a Test Analyst on the National Tax Credits project at Microsoft SDC in Reading. I am grateful to have had opportunities to work within many other major projects at Microsoft such as the Government Gateway, FOI – AIT Toolkit, National Benefits Project and again the Government Gateway (v.1.67) during a period of 3 years from April 2002 to July 2005. On each different project I was a member of the core test team, ensuring system was delivered on-time and within budget. My primary responsibilities were; the execution of the Automated Tests and analysis of the results produced using Mercury’s WinRunner, Creation of xml documents, and Validation of xml responses using xml Spy, Testing SOAP.Net interfaces.

My first role in IT was an IT Support Specialist which I started in November 2000, working for a local Liverpool based company I gained 2nd Line support experience as well as supporting Windows 2000 Server. I moved from here and into a Contract role where I made up one half of a team of two, we ensured that the Caxios domains were migrated from the ‘old’ Enron domain into the new Fabricom domains.  My responsibilities; the build and configuration of Windows 2000 Servers, Migration of NT4 Clients to Windows 2000 Professional and join them to the new Fabricom domain, Exchange management.

On successfully completing the Apprenticeship, in September 1997, I worked as part of the Production Maintenance team in Ford Motor Company my responsibilities included Preventative Maintenance routines and ongoing Production Line Breakdown Support.

I eventually ended my employment with Ford Motor Company to pursue a career in the sporting arena of Rugby League.  I began playing Rugby League semi-professionally at the age of 16 but from July 1999 I began playing on a fulltime basis for Widnes Vikings.  I continued to play on a full time basis until October 2000, where I became a semi-professional again due to an ongoing injury problem and later retired from the game in 2001.

On leaving St Josephs High School in Widnes, at the age of 16, in April 1993 I was employed by Ford Motor Company and enrolled into their Apprenticeship scheme.  This consisted of 4 years training in all aspects of Engineering Maintenance including Electronics, Electrical Control, Programmable Logic Control and Mechanical Engineering.
